Welcome to the web site of the Child Protection Service of the Archdiocese of Dublin.
This Child Protection Service is established to assist the diocese in the implementation of child protection policies and procedures, both in terms of prevention and in response to allegations. The Service also provides pastoral outreach and support for victims of child abuse.
Commission of Investigation into clerical sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Dublin
On the 28th March 2006, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform announced the establishment of the Commission of Investigation chaired by Circuit Court Judge Yvonne Murphy.
The Commission of Investigation has completed its task and presented its Report to the Minister for Justice in July 2009. The Report was referred to the Attorney General for his advice regarding its publication.
The Commission of Investigation Report into the Archdiocese of Dublin was published Thursday 26th November 2009 and a copy of that Report is available online at The Department of Justice website.
